Strip it Off Pore Cleaning Strips Recipe This recipe makes a pore cleaning "strip" which works just like those sold in popular drugstores.
Gather all of your ingredients and tools. You'll need the following:
- Knox Unflavored Gelatin
- Milk
- A Small Microwave-Safe Bowl
- A makeup brush (or clean paint brush)
- Microwave
Add 1 T of Knox Unflavored Gelatin into a microwave-safe bowl
Add 1 T of milk into the bowl.
You'll notice that the ingredients are quite dry. I added another couple drops of milk into the mix.

Microwave on high for 10 seconds to warm mixture.
You will clearly see that the mixture melted down making it much easier to mix and apply.
I applied the mixture to my nose, but you can apply this to anywhere you feel your pores could benefit. Besides the nose, people apply pore strips to their chin, cheeks and even between their eyebrows.
Before you move to the next step, rinse your brush. If you don't, it will turn into a sticky, gluey mess.
You need to let the mix dry on your face for about 10 minutes or so. Set the timer and go read a book, watch TV - Just hope the doorbell doesn't ring!
This strip came off so easily and did a fantastic job at de-gunking my pores. There was no pulling sensation or any pain what-so-ever.
